N.C.'s Phase 2.5 Impact on RHA

Harris Gardens Line Waiting for Meals.

Effective September 4, 2020, at 5 PM, North Carolina will be under a Safer at Home Phase 2.5 executive order. Stay home if you can, but follow the simple tips mentioned below to prevent contracting COVID-19.

Despite the State moving to 2.5, playgrounds will remain closed until further notice. RHA offices and facilities will remain closed with the exception of the RHA Afterschool Program. After an evaluation of local COVID-19 data, the Executive Director shall adjust office and facilities openings.

When conducting business or participating in activities on the property, wearing a face mask is required. By executive order face mask wearing is required while in public.

Here are the key steps toward virus spread prevention according to public health officials:

  1. Social Distancing (at least six feet apart from others)
  2. Wearing a Mask (surgical is best but cloth is acceptable)
  3. Washing Hands Often (soap and warm water is best; hand sanitizer with at least 70 percent alcohol content is acceptable)

Check out this flyer from the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development for more ways to stay safe.
