CDC Eviction Moratorium Extended to Jan. 31, 2021

With President Donald Trump signing a second COVID-19 relief package bill into law Sunday, Roxboro Housing Authority (RHA) residents will receive additional rental assistance. Evictions due to non-payment of rent are delayed until Jan. 31, 2021.

RHA residents are required to pay rent if financially able to and to avoid eviction after the moratorium.

The moratorium allows RHA to evict residents for all other lease violations, including criminal and illegal activities on or off RHA properties and for not complying to re-certification requirements to name a few examples. Waivers are in place to assist with receiving income verification, etc. for re-certification.
